Since 2009, the Anneliese Pohl Foundation has been devoted to advancing medical cancer research and providing assistance to individuals and families impacted by cancer. To accomplish this mission, the foundation established the Anneliese Pohl Psychosocial Counselling Center in Marburg. This institution, staffed by psychologists and other specialists, provides comprehensive guidance to cancer patients and their families.
One of the foundation initiatives is the Anneliese Pohl Habilitation Program, which aims to assist young female habilitation candidates at the Department of Medicine at Philipps University in Marburg with balancing their careers and family responsibilities.
Both foundations generously supported the establishment of the Anneliese Pohl Comprehensive Cancer Center at Philipps University of Marburg. Since it was started, it has become the biggest oncology centre in Hesse.
